"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control." (Galatians 5:22)
In the harsh and difficult world we all live with crime, disorder and bad things that can happen to anyone of us anytime – many Christians have lost much of their joy in the Lord as a result of some of the blows they have taken in this life.
I I remember that a bank teller tell me once that she very seldom sees people smiling more when they come in and do business with it. She said that nobody seems to be happier and everyone seems to carry weight around the world on their shoulders.
Again, with imperfections of our fallen nature, and then you combine that with how people react differently to adversity – some Christians have literally had most, if not all of their joy in the Lord, hit right out of them.
This is why the above verse from Galatians is so powerful and so necessary for every Christian single today. In this verse, God says he can not pass certain qualities of the divine right to guess his place among us as filling a new car with its first tank of gasoline. Many of the people of God need a fresh infusion of his divine qualities due to leaks that have occurred as a result of some of the beatings his people has taken over their lives.
And the quality of joy is a quality essential in this day and age. Regardless of the severity of strokes that you may have taken in this life – God can yet completely heal, deliver and restore if you're willing to work with him in the healing process.
And one of things God can fully restore in you is your joy in Him. And not only the Lord can fully restore the joy you used to have in him, but it can also bring a much greater degree and intensity because of the wording in the above verse – with the quality the joy of being one of the 9 specific fruits of the Holy Spirit!
Some different definitions of what a True joy is All About:
Super fun, light heart
The happy state which results from knowing and serve God
This deep, abiding, inner rejoicing in the Lord
To rejoice, to be happy
Happy, happy, gay, joyous, festive
Know that God can transmit this divine quality to your personality – and this will be his joy, not your joy, once it begins to flow up into you. And once God starts to release its joy in your system, you will not be able to help but feel it. And once you're able to start to feel it again, it will become much easier for you to learn to walk it in your walk daily with the Lord.
The Bible says that the joy of the Lord is your strength. This is why it is so important that every Christian has a certain level of exploitation the joy of God through them in this life. Without operating the joy of God in your life, things may start to dry up. Nothing is ever fun anymore. Everything may start to become a chore. Before you know it, you'll want to start withdrawing from others and life in general.
The joy of the Lord can really give you an incredible surge of strength in your daily walk with God – especially when you have to take on some really difficult situations. It is why every Christian must work very closely with the Holy Spirit not only to get him to release her joy in your system, but to maintain running through you, on a regular and systematic basis.
The Holy Spirit will do for you if you are open to receiving This divine infusion of him and who are willing to work with him to keep it properly flowing through you, on a regular basis.
