The MP200PB GBC binding machine (formerly the Ibico 620FD binding machine) is the best fixed die electric modular punches on the market. The series of punches MP2000 modules are built with the same care and quality as all the other GBC binding equipment. Its compact design and nicely finished exterior make it perfect for almost any office. Here are some simple instructions for using the MP2000.

Prior to punching your document, determine the number of holes provided for the document (depending on the side of the document must be bound – 11 "peak require 19 holes – 8 ½ "peak require 15 holes).

1. Uncheck the Die Pins you do not want to compost by lifting the lid and switch Pin the firing pin in place.

2. Set the depth of Punch lever (on the left side of the punch) is less than or greater than 9 / 16. This is the diameter of the comb used. Plastic Binding is the binding style that uses this measure, and its main purpose is to adjust the margin from the edge of the paper into the punch holes if the item is properly filled. If the margin is too deeply perforated in the paper for a small element (ie ¼ "), the pages do not open or turn easily because there is not enough room in the item. Conversely, if the margin is too shallow punched a large document (ie ½ "), the pages could be torn if the document has been abused or abandoned.

3. Using a test lift of paper (or cap if you use too large covers), add the leaves in the throat Punch, moving until they are flat against the side guide and all the way to the bottom of the Gorge Punch. Keep leaves up with one hand.

4. To punch, press Punch or pedal.

5. Now, take a sheet of perforated material and fold in half to check the alignment holes. If it is squared, you're ready to continue punching the paper.

6. When perforation is complete, remember to lift the front cover in place, remove the chip tray, and trash debris.

Note: As indicated previously, comb binding uses frequently covers large. This simply means the door is manufactured to 11-1/4 "x 8-3/4" (instead of 11 "x 8-1/2"), leaving a margin of 1/8th inch top and bottom of the document and a ¼ "excess margin on the Unbound 11 "next to the document. This is to prevent dog-earing of the material contained in the document cover. It is also the most Net looks at the document, as the pages do not stick when the item moves through the perforated holes. This does not occur with our styles of linking others as the holes are smaller, and there is less movement of the binding.

What this means for you is that the guide-book shall be delivered to "center" holes in the coverage of large dimensions. If you were punching a number of documents using oversize covers you set the side guide for paper, punching all the paper – then define the guide points to the Drill blankets and sheets.

Both son and Binding Coil Binding is implemented using steps 1 through 5 – since hedges are cut flush with the paper (not too big), it is not necessary to reset the Edge Guide.
